Dr Andy Stamatiou is an Brisbane Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Fertility specialist who has been working in private practice since April 2010.

Dr Stamatiou graduated from the University of Queensland in 1990 and has over 23 years experience as a doctor. He commenced training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2001 and was granted a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2009.

Dr Stamatiou has a special interest in high risk obstetrics, particularly preterm delivery and cervical incompetence.

Other special interests include subfertility, endometriosis, PCOS and laparoscopic surgery. His private practice encompasses the management of pregnancy and labour (including high risk pregnancy) and gynaecological services (including heavy periods, menopause, endometriosis, fibroids, prolapse and incontinence). Dr Stamatiou performs a large range of vaginal and laparoscopic surgical procedures and is able to offer the full gamut of fertility services (including IVF).

Dr Stamatiou cares about each patient individually, cares about your health, about your well being and about having the outcome you desire. He works with you each step of the way, supports you and will respond to questions with knowledge, honesty and compassion. As a father, Dr Stamatiou has a deep understanding of family and is therefore compassionate to your wishes.

Brisbane Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Fertility specialist, Dr Stamatiou is a member of the Australian Medical Association, the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society and the Fertility Society of Australia. He is a clinical lecturer and examiner for the University of Queensland, School of Medicine.

Dr Stamatiou’s main consulting rooms are at Level 7, Watkins Medical Centre, 225 Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill. He also consults at The Hub, Capalaba and 6/23 Commercial Drive, Springfield.
